Shirdi is a small town in the Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra at the distance of 258 km from Mumbai, 180 km from Pune, 90 km from Nashik, 82 km from Ahmednagar, and 58 km from Manmad. Shirdi is famous for the temple of Shirdi Sai Baba and is also known as the land of Sai, and which is the main attraction for the devotees who visit this holy place. The Saibaba converted this small village into a holy pilgrimage for their devotees. Sai Baba of The 20th century is known as one of the great saints of India. Sai Baba visited Shirdi when he was 16 years old and stayed there until his passing in 1918. The Shirdi Temple compounded covers a zone of around 200 square meters. Shirdi Temple is one of the richest temples in India and donates approximately Rs 4 billion annually. These include the Gurusthan, Dwarkamai, Samadhi Temple, Chavadi and LendiBaug. Several tales of the famous Shirdi Sai are associated with this village. The nearest airport is Pune International Airport, which is 185 km from Shirdi and flights daily from Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Kochi, Hyderabad, Chennai, Delhi, and Goa. At the distance,  58 km from ShirdiManmad Junction Railway the station is the main train.
